Hedge funds are out of reach for most people, because they can only take Qualified Purchasers, with minimums that often start in the millions.
Everybody else can buy mutual funds and ETFs, but a dated pre-AI regulation restricts them from running the best hedge fund strategies.
And in either case, your money is pooled with everyone else's and is managed without regard to your taxes. But for a typical household, after-tax return matters most.
